The use of deformations in robotics is today actively considered, with research and new applications based on robot deformations and/or presence of deformable environments. To train the next generation of researchers and engineers, CNRS, INRIA and the University of Lille are joining forces to organize a summer school. During one week, participants will attend lectures and practical sessions on the fundamental concepts necessary for the use of deformable materials in soft robotics, continuum robotics, hybrid rigid/deformable robotics as well as in rigid robotics interacting with a deformable environment.

Keynotes and lectures will be given in English.

The event is organized by CRIStAL lab and will take place in Lille, France. It is supported by GT6 - GDR Robotique and by the CNRS as a thematic school. Research engineers, young and senior researchers, Ph.D. students are all welcome to the summer school.
