Call for Master's Research Project Proposals

The annual call for 2nd-year Master's research project proposals is open from now until June 21st. These projects are the backbone of HealthTech's 2nd-year Master's training-through-research program and allow HealthTech students to take part in immersive research starting in the first semester of the 2nd year. Information about the objectives, eligibility criteria, calendar and procedure, as well as the application form, have been sent out by email. If you have not received this information, please write to : iti-healthtech@unistra.fr.

Last year, a record-breaking number of proposals were submitted and presented, representing the diversity and interdisciplinarity of the HealthTech consortium. We look forward to seeing what projects you have in store for our next cohort of M2 students.

Call for Interdisciplinary Projects

The 2024 call for interdisciplinary research projects was a great success with a record number of 9 projects selected for financing. The projects feature collaborations between researchers from: ICube, BETA, the University Hospitals of Strasbourg (HUS), and BioValley France, and the majority will utilise the HealthTech-affiliated plaforms, IRIS and GAIA.

Take a look at our 2024 interdisciplinary projects to learn more.

We would like to thank all the researchers who applied and who continue to promote interdisciplinarity at the highest level of research. We look forward to future collaborations.

Master's Program
EPICUR Winter School

From February 19 - 23 2024, HealthTech M1 students attended the Winter School for Digital Healthcare Entrepreneurship at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The Winter School, offered through the EPICUR and EUCOR alliances, brought together students from 8 different universities for a weeklong intensive program. Over the course of the week, students worked in teams to identify problems in healthcare, design digital solutions for the problem identified, and develop a suitable business concept. On the final day, students had 7 minutes to pitch their solution and business concept to the teaching team. HealthTech is proud to announce that M1 students Luna S. and Kareem E. and their team won first prize for their business pitch for an application to help speech recovery for German-speaking stroke patients.

For more information about the week, take a look at EUCOR's recap post: Winter School - Digital Healthcare Entrepreneurship.

Master's Program
Master's-Ph.D. Meet-up

The Young Researchers Committee and HealthTech Ph.D. students held an event in March for Master's students in order to demystify the Ph.D. application procedure and provide first-hand experience about life as a Ph.D. student in Strasbourg. Ph.D students in their first, second, and third year presented to nearly the entire HealthTech M1 and M2 class and the event was followed by a social event at a board game café in the city center.
