Call for proposals

HealthTech supports scientific projects developed by multi-disciplinary teams purpose-built to find solutions to problems raised by a proven medical need.

Call for PhD proposals  Annual call for submissions

Calls for PhD proposals are launched every year for HealthTech members. Applications are evaluated based on scientific quality and relevance of the topic in regard to HealthTech’s research axes. Only research projects with a strong interdisciplinary approach and a clear medical application are considered. PhD projects must be co-supervised by at least two research scientists from different disciplinary backgrounds to ensure an interdisciplinary scientific approach.

The 2026 call for HealthTech PhD projects is open until January 31, 2026 for permanent researchers

If you are a HealthTech member and would like more information about how to submit a PhD project, please contact us by email at iti-healthtech@unistra.fr

If you are a potential PhD candidate, this call for proposals precedes candidate selection and is only open to permanent researchers. Please refer to our PhD application info page for more information about how the PhD process works in France.

Call for research proposals requiring platform support

The goal of this funding opportunity is to provide functioning support for research projects in terms of platform service. The initiation of novel close collaborations between principal research scientists working in different fields is welcome, but the call is also open to well-established research projects, in which case the project shall be in an advanced translational phase for its realization to rely on the support of a platform. At least one of the PI of the project must belong to the ITI HealthTech consortium.

The call for research projects requiring platform support was open on a rolling basis from 2021 to 2025, at which point it was merged into the call "interdisciplinary reseach projects."
