The event will take place in the Salle Hygie, at the IHU Strasbourg. The language of the event is English.

AbstractRF pulses play a key role in MRI. They have to be selective, robust to B0 and B1 field inhomogeneities while being compliant with regulations on Specific Absorption Rates. Optimal Control is a powerful tool allowing for the integration of these constraints to numerically find the best solutions. The presentation will introduce optimal control for the generation of RF pulses for the aforementioned applications while also presenting recent applications such as contrast optimization and magnetic resonance elastography (MRE).

Biography: After studying physics, Kevin TSE VE KOON defended his thesis in non-linear physics in 2007 at the University of Burgundy. He discovered the biomedical world during a post-doctorate on cardiovascular modeling at the LTSI in Rennes, before joining the CREATIS laboratory and Lyon 1 University as a Senior Lecturer in 2010. Since then, his research has focused on MRI methodology development, with an emphasis on magnetic resonance elastography. He has also been in charge of the CREATIS laboratory's PILoT multimodal imaging platform since 2022.
